The newfangled 5 Series is an inch longer and more extensive, partially flatter than the outgoing form, but the wheelbase has been extended by something greater than a couple inches. This leaves a condensed trunk cover, longer hood, and results in a more generous, closer to the ground showing up auto. In spite of the longer wheelbase lodge space hasn't developed commensurately but the trunk is more vast.
